Yvonne Lee (DeSpain) Frey

Yvonne Lee Frey, age 61, of Thompsonville, passed away at 1:33pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Herrin Hospital.

Yvonne was born at the St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, Illinois, on October 9, 1961, the daughter of Donald Gean and Goldie Laverne (Roberts) DeSpain. She had worked as a dietary technician at Franklin Hospital.

Survivors include three sons- Johnny Frey, Joey Frey, and Jimmy Frey; one grandson- Jack Frey; brother and sister-in-law- David and Tammy DeSpain; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers- Eddie, Johnny, and Marvin.

As per her wishes, Yvonne will be cremated. Celebration of life services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Thompsonville American Legion.  Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in DuQuoin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
