Ursula Keeling-Batson Obituary Ursula Keeling-Batson, age 85 of Carterville, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.
She was born Tuesday, November 15, 1938 in Stuttgart, Germany, a daughter of Walter and Hannah Feil. She married Gary Batson and he preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement, Ursula had faithfully and proudly served her community as a meter maid, ensuring parking order and safety at Southern Illinois University.
She is survived by her three sons, Raymond (Gina) Keeling, Rick (Kathy) Keeling, and Larry Keeling; two grandchildren, Kevin (Robin) Keeling and Victoria Keeling; and two great grandchildren, Ava and Lillian. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gary Batson.
Graveside services at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville will take place at a later date. Service details will be announced here as they become available.
