Theresa Marie (Trapper) White

Theresa Marie White, age 78, of Benton, passed away peacefully at 7:37 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at her daughter's home in Benton.

Theresa was born Thursday, November 28, 1946 in Benton, a daughter of Louis Albert and Kathleen Isabelle (McKinney) Trapper. Theresa graduated from Benton High School. She married the love of her life, James Robert White, in 1970 in Waukegan, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1976.

Theresa was a sweet and caring individual, known for her kind heart and ability to always find something nice to say, spreading joy and positivity to those around her. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, working on crafts, and enjoying games with her lady friends. The music of the 1950s brought her great delight. Above all, Theresa cherished time spent with her family, creating lasting memories and strengthening bonds. Her love and devotion to those around her will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love and positivity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter- Diana White (fiance John Coder) of Benton; three grandchildren- Michael Rodriguez of Park Forest, Matthew Rodriguez of Joliet, and Mitchell Rodriguez of Aurora; and four great grandchildren- Harper, Maverick, Rayla, and Adira Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by husband- James Robert White, two brothers- Charles and Walter Trapper, two sisters- Angie Swigert and Barbara Pierson, and infant brother- Richard.
