Shirley Ann Forys

Shirley Ann Forys, age 70, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:21 A.M. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born February 13, 1955 in Effingham, Illinois. Prior to retiring, Shirley had worked at Five Star Industries. She was a talented and patient individual who was proficient in embroidery. In addition to her love of embroidery, Shirley also enjoyed working on puzzles, taking leisurely walks, and savoring delicious meals. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will cherish the memories of their time together.

She is survived by her daughters- Megan Forys of Pinckneyville and Bethany Forys of Du Quoin; mother-in-law- Janet Forys of Nashville, sister- Brenda McCorder of Dietrich, nephew- Joe Greggor, and niece- Sis Greggor.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
