Sharon Towns Obituary Sharon Marie Towns, age 62, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born Saturday, July 21, 1962 in Seattle, Washington, a daughter of Mardell Ellis.
Sharon was a devoted homemaker and pillar of her family. Raised with strong values, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, always putting others before herself. As a hard worker, Sharon did whatever it took to make ends meet, instilling in her family the importance of perseverance and dedication. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for camping and spending time near the water, where she found peace and tranquility. Sharon's caring and giving nature touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand or give anything to those in need. Her selflessness and compassion inspired her family and friends to follow in her footsteps. One of Sharon's greatest joys was traveling, particularly with her son Brandon over the past three years. These adventures brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every moment they shared together. In the kitchen, Sharon was a talented cook. Her love for country music filled her home with joy. Sharon's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two sons- Chris Murrain of Herrin and Brandon Murrain of Herrin; one grandchild- Christopher Murrain, Jr, of Herrin; and one sister- Gipsie Haight of North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by mother, grandson- Xavier King, brother- Michael Peach, and sister- Cindy Peach.
