Shari Hamilton Obituary

Shari Hamilton was born on June 8, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois to Barbara Jean Hamilton. She was the youngest of four children and she was the only girl. Shari absolutely loved being the baby of the family. She also LOVED her older brothers and enjoyed telling people, “If you mess with me, I will call my brothers”.

At an early age, Shari gave her life to God and was baptized by her grandmother, Reverend Pinkie Hamilton. As a child, Shari was a tomboy. She loved playing with her friend Kat and enjoyed following her brothers around. Shari attended Parker Elementary School and Paul Roberson High School.

After high school, Shari worked at Zimmerman Brush company in Chicago, IL for several years. She later met Cash Aldridge and from this union her first child Cash (aka Jarell) was born. Shari later gave birth to her first daughter, Cheri (aka Niecy), her baby girl, Anjelica (aka Jellie), and her baby boy Anthony (aka Dee).

Shari was also a sharp dresser and loved dancing, spending time with her family, and going to Six Flags amusement park with her favorite nephew, Jamaal. Above all, Shari truly loved and adored all of her children and her grandchildren. She was blessed with eight grandsons and one granddaughter, all of whom brought her joy.

After moving to Southern Illinois, Shari spent the last part of her career working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). She loved taking care of her patients, and they loved her. Shari worked at Star in Murphysboro until her health began to decline. In 2024, Shari rededicated her life to Christ.

Shari peacefully went home to be with her heavenly father on December 8, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean, brother, Anthony, and grandparents, Pinkie and Robert.

Shari leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: her children, Cash Jarell (Sheree), Cheri, Anjelica (Montell), and Anthony (Rosa), 9 grandchildren; Marcelles, Phillip, Arian, Cash, Derrick, Kyrel, Evania, Malakai, and Kreed, and 3 additional grandkids; Kevin, Nicolas, and Austin; 2 brothers: Gregory (Sharon) and Jesse (Mary), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and close friends.
