Sammy Sellars Obituary Sammy L. Sellars, age 86, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly of Herrin, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at DCH Hospital in Northport, Alabama.

Sammy was born August 07, 1936 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Sam and Rose Saliba.

She is survived by two children, Scot McVey and Robyn (McVey) Pender; one grandson, Ethan (Kaci) Norris; her Great Grandchildren, Kamryn, Kaysen, and Kollyns Norris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Rose Saliba and eight siblings, Fairy, Zine, Flossie, Vicky, Mike, George, Tammer, and Myrtle.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 12:00 PM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin. A Celebration of Life lunch will be held at the Herrin Elks Banquet room from 1PM-3PM.
