Ruth Louise Baldwin

Ruth Louise Baldwin, age 79, passed away at 8:06 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Countryside Manor of Mt. Vernon.

Ruth was born on July 22, 1945 in Champaign, a daughter of Joseph Richard and Bertha Marie (Koss) Vaughn. She married Curtis "Curt" Eugene Baldwin at the Peace Lutheran Church in Mt Vernon on December 18, 1982. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2018.

Ruth was a graduate of the Class of 1963 at the Champaign Senior High School. Prior to Ruth's retirement, she had worked as an account specialist for First Cellular.

Survivors include her son- Michael Munsell of Altamont; four step-daughters- Penny (Larry) Hofstetter of Dupo, Amie Keck of Dupo, Susan (Henry) Stickel of Benton, and Mary (Fred) Zulawski of Springfield; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister- Emily (Vaughn) Main of Florida; brother-in-law- Jerry Baldwin of Benton; and sister-in-law- Carolyn Steckenrider of Benton.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers- Kenneth and James Vaughn, and niece- Jamie Vaughn.

In accordance with Ruth's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held at this time.
