Robert Graham Obituary Robert J. Graham, age 84, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his home in West Frankfort, Illinois.
Robert was born October 20, 1939 in Herrin, Illinois, a son of Havis and Elizabeth (Woodford) Graham. Robert grew up in Herrin, IL and was a 1959 graduate of Herrin High School. After graduation he started working in the coal mines. He worked at Ziegler #4 then later Old Ben #24, where he retired. He married his first wife, Betty Jane Wade. He later married Mary Kay Simpson on October 02, 1976 in Herrin, IL. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2007.
Robert enjoyed fishing, playing golf and loved baseball. He was a great fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of UMWA and Prairie Masonic Lodge in Herrin, Illinois.
He is survived by four children, Terry O. (Paula) Graham of Tamaroa, IL, Patricia L. (Floyd) Simon of Simpson, IL, Angela D. Drumheller of Creal Springs, IL, and Kimberly K. Laws of Thompsonville, IL; one sister, Linda Goeb of Herrin, IL; and his 7 grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Kay Graham; his parents, Havis and Elizabeth Graham; one brother, David Graham.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 16th, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, 11:00 AM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin.
