Ricky Leonard Kelley, age 64, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 4:10am on Friday, May 8, 2026 at his home in Pinckneyville, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Thursday, November 9, 1961 in New Port, Rhode Island, a son of Gary Leonard and Roberta Mae (Phelps) Kelley. He married the love of his life, Michelle Renee Schobert in Portage, Wisconsin on October 27, 2004.
Ricky was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. He loved being outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or exploring thrift stores for hidden treasures. Family was everything to Ricky. He cherished time with his children and grandchildren, and loved sharing his passions with them. He was always the one making jokes and trying to make everyone laugh. Ricky had a heart of gold and a playful spirit. He was a master of silly voices, especially the Donald Duck impression, and could brighten up anyone's day. Ricky's infectious laugh, his silly antics, and his love for life will be missed. He leaves behind a legacy of memories and laughter that will keep his spirit alive.
He is survived by his wife- Michelle (Schobert) Kelley of Pinckneyville; children- Trevor, Laci (Justin Ritchie), Halliey (Terry Powers), and Dakota (Logan Sandoval) Kelley; grandchildren- Tyson, Harley, Mikah, Romy; bonus daughter- Emma Baker; sister- Cheryl (Kelly) Rabenort; brother- Doug (Leslie) Kelley; numerous nieces, nephew, and host of extended family members and friends he cherished.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
