Patricia Ann Shiery

Patricia Ann Shiery, age 82, of Pinckneyville, formerly of Colorado and Nebraska, passed away at 7:55pm on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Patricia was born Wednesday, May 6, 1942, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the daughter of Victor and Wilma Georgia (Harriger) Kautz. She married Gerald Suhr, Sr. and from this union came three sons. Later in life, she married Doug Muirhead and he preceded her in death. She later married Chuck Shiery, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son- Gerald D. "Gary" (Susan) Suhr Jr. of Pinckneyville; son- Scott (Rositta) Suhr of Michigan; granddaughter raised as a daughter- Amber (David) Hanson of Colorado; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and sister- Wilma Kay (Kautz) Henderson of Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son- Bradley Suhr, three brothers- William Harold Kautz, Marlin Eugene Kautz, Steven Gary Kautz; sister- Victoria Leigh (Kautz) Reitz, and her beloved dog Shay.

Pat's creativity was evident in her passions for sewing, embroidery, quilting, and cooking. Her talents did not stop there, as she was an avid bowler with a competitive spirit. Her creativity was also evident in her various careers. She had worked as a secretary for Schlitz Beer, served as a dietician at various hospitals, worked as an apartment manager, and even partnered with her husband in the construction business. Her love, guidance, and legacy will be deeply cherished by all who knew and loved her.
