Lisa Jackson Obituary

Lisa Ann Jackson, age 50, of Royalton, passed away at home in the arms of her husband on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

She was born Sunday, November 23, 1975 in Tampa, Florida, a daughter of James and Carol (Gordon) Rickett. She married the love of her life, Johnnie A. Jackson. Together, they shared more than 24 years of marriage.

Lisa, a devoted caregiver and loving soul, passed away surrounded by family. For years, Lisa poured her heart into healthcare, caring for others with compassion that came naturally to her. Helping people was not just her job - it was who she was. Whether it was a patient, a friend, or a stranger, Lisa showed up with love, humor, and a steady hand. She found joy in the simple things: music on the radio, cooking for a full house, lake days with family, and the loyal companionship of her dogs. She loved a good cigarette and even better conversation. Lisa was funny, a little crazy, and talked a big game - but always with love behind it. She never met a problem she would not try to fix or a person she would not try to help.

Lisa's greatest pride was her family. Her time with them, laughing around the table or just being together, was her real "happy place." She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love. Her caring spirit and big personality will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband- Johnnie A. Jackson of Royalton; four children- Jacob Samples of Royalton, Crystal (Steven Eldridge, Jr.) Golla of Murphysboro, John Paul "JJ" Golla of Royalton, Kristen Jackson of Royalton; four grandchildren- Marriah, James, Avery, Sofia; nine siblings Shadonna, Frank, Adam, Carolina, Norman, Janie, Betty Jo, Jimmy, and Junior; mother-in-law and father-in-law- Gary and Helen Ratliff; special family friend and his family- Corey Freeland; and her precious furbabies she adored- Diamond, Baby Girl, Minnie Mouse, Angel, Snow White and Coco.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister- Rebecca Moody.
