Leslie Harvey, 66, of Mount Vernon, IL passed away on May 09, 2026 at his home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Leslie was born on February 29, 1960 to James R. Harvey and Maudie Jane (Reynolds) Graham in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Leslie was a quiet, kind and humble man. Over the years, he worked as a cab-driver, dispatcher, and grocery store manager, always willing to lend a hand. He will be remembered for his love of country music, his unmistakable cowboy hat, and his compassionate disposition.
He is survived by his mother, Maudie Jane (Reynolds) Graham of Mount Vernon, IL; three children, Ronnie Harvey of Christopher, IL, Patricia (Jason) Matthias of Christopher, IL, and Justin (special friend- Shannon) Harvey of Iuka, IL; several grandchildren; one brother, James R. Harvey of Centralia, IL; five sisters, Rhonda (Jeff) Dewald of Mount Vernon, IL, Veronica (Tim) Miles of Herrin, IL, Dianna (Dennis) Croft of Jackson, MO, Debbie Roeder of West Frankfort, IL, and Joyce Stinson of Mount Vernon, IL; several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members he cherished.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Robert Harvey of Kingsport, Tennessee, son, Leslie Paul Harvey of Mount Vernon, Illinois, an infant son, and one brother, Thomas Jefferson (Amanda) Harvey of Centralia, IL.
In accordance with Leslie's wishes, no public services will be held at this time. Family and friends will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date.
