Kathy Jo Frey

Kathy Jo Frey, age 57, of West Frankfort, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at her home in West Frankfort, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born Saturday, May 18, 1968 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She spent her life creating a home with the love of her life, James Green.

She is survived by her husband- James Green of West Frankfort; son- Justin Peak of Carbondale; son- Brandon Frey of West Frankfort; son- Aron Green-Peak of West Frankfort; and two brothers.

Kathy's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She found joy in gardening, nurturing plants, and celebrating the beauty of spring. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

As per her wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family requests you remember Kathy in your own way and remember her for her warm and gentle spirit.
