Karen Sligar Obituary

Karen Sue Sligar, 77, of Centralia, passed away on July 06, 2026 at her home in Centralia.

Karen was born on September 4, 1948 to Marshall and Claire (Bond) Roper. She married Thomas Sligar on June 30, 1966 at Raccoon Lake. They just recently shared their 60th wedding anniversary.

Karen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved working word searches, always enjoying the challenge of finding every hidden word. She treasured the time she spent riding motorcycles with her beloved husband, creating countless memories together on the open road. Some of her happiest moments were spent bowling with her family, sharing laughter, friendly competition, and time together.

Above all, Karen will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. She appreciated time spent together, valued lasting relationships, and touched many lives through her kindness and caring heart.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She is survived by her loving husband- Thomas Sligar of Centralia; two children- Thomas Frederick Sligar of Centralia and Charady (Don) Cook of SC; four siblings- Cary Shelton of Centralia, George Roper of Centralia, Debbie (Ralph) Milton of Carlyle, and Becky Smith of Centralia; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren she cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Claire Roper.
