Jerry Lee Scaggs, Jr, age 54, of Elkville, formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at 9:08 am on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Jerry was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 26, 1969, the son of Linda Sue and Bud Crabtree and Jerry Lee Scaggs, Sr. Prior to his illness, he had worked as a truck driver.
Jerry is survived by two daughters- Danyell (Tanner) Jaco of Paragould, Arkansas and Shania (Caleb) Colburn of Paragould, Arkansas; nine grandchildren- Emmaleigh, Braxton, Harper, Preslee, and Case Jaco and Adeline, Abigail, Cloey, and Trinity Colburn; and many siblings including- Jeanette, Teddy, Sonya, Tara, Debbie, Tina, Connie, Annie, Joey, Valerie, and Crystal. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Bud.
In following Jerry's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. While there will not be any formal services at this time, family and friends are encouraged to remember Jerry in your own way, reflecting on the moments shared and the impact he had on your life.
