Jason Lemasters Obituary Jason Lee Lemasters, 42, of Marion, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 1:35 am on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born on March 27, 1982, in Marion, Illinois. A proud Navy veteran, Jason served his country with dedication and honor. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a computer technician, using his sharp skills to repair and tinker with all kinds of technology. His love for fixing things extended beyond his work, as Jason was always tinkering with gadgets and tools, bringing new life to broken items.
Jason was known for his kind heart and willingness to lend a hand. Whether it was helping a neighbor or assisting family members with technical issues, Jason always offered his support. He enjoyed working with his hands and had a natural knack for problem-solving. He will be remembered for his ingenuity, his hardworking nature, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tonja Peebles, grandparents, Thomas and Shirley Hartwell, and his brother, Robert Hartwell.
Jason is survived by his father, Timothy Hartwell of Marion; his stepmother, Andrea Hartwell of Marion; his siblings, Lindsey (Logan) Perry of Marion, Nicholas (Dawn) Hartwell of Orient, and Matthew Hartwell of Marion; his grandparents, Carolyn and Keith Owens of Marion, and Clive Lemasters of Creal Springs; aunts and uncles, Ron and Cynthia Hall of Carterville, Thomas and Tina Heusing of Greenville, South Carolina, Brandon and Tamra Hill of Marion, Teresa Smith of Marion, Scott Owens of Marion, Justin and Breanna Owens of Rosiclare, Tyler and Audra Owens of Creal Springs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jason's family and friends will cherish the memories of his quiet but determined spirit, his love for tinkering, and his devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Keith Owens and Pastor Tyler Owens officiating.
