Earl Edward Gross, 60, of Belleville, Illinois passed away on May 23, 2026 at Axiom Gardens of Nashville in Nashville, IL.
Earl was born on August 14, 1965 to Earl and Etta Mae (Bisso) Gross.
Earl was a caring man, hardworking millwright, and loyal friend whose hands were rarely still and whose spirit was always moving forward. He took great pride in honest work and spent much of his life building, fixing, and creating through his trade as a millwright.
Known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others, he believed there was value in a hard day's work and satisfaction in a job well done.
Outside of work he had a deep love for the beach and traveling. He had an adventurous spirit, generous heart, and wonderful sense of humor. Classic rock was the soundtrack of his life, and he could often be found listening to his favorite songs while working, cooking, or relaxing at home. His memory will live on in the stories, music, meals, and moments that family and friends will cherish forever.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by two daughters, Brianna Harris of Belleville, IL and Josephine (Alexander) Garza of Collinsville, IL; one sister, Earlene (Frank) Gross; and his niece, Candace Krausz of Freeburg, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Edward and Etta Mae (Bisso) Gross.
