Dorothy Joan Wiehn, age 95, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:37 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Friday, May 9, 1930 in Elkville, a daughter of Edward and Emma (Wendling) Valerius. She married the love of her life, Henry Wiehn, in Du Quoin on February 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1993.
She is survived by her daughter- Kathleen (Robert) McConnell of Powell, Ohio; daughter- Debra (Lester) Loucks of Du Quoin; daughter- Shelby Wiehn of Du Quoin; son- Roger (Ruth) Wiehn of Annville, Kentucky; sister- Matilda Harsy of Du Quoin; brother- Matthew Valerius of Paducah, Kentucky; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, two brothers, and three grandchildren.
In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
