Diane "DeDe" Marie Joyner, age 71, of Dahlgren, formerly of McHenry County, passed away at 3:20am on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at her peaceful country home.
She was born Saturday, March 28, 1953 in Elgin, Illinois, a daughter of Kenneth and June Stroner. DeDe reveled in the joy of family gatherings and holidays, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Her warmth, humor, and kindness made her the heart of every celebration. Beyond her family, DeDe found solace in the great outdoors. She took immense pride in her yard work, cultivating a beautiful haven that reflected her love for nature. As a dedicated employee for nearly 20 years, she earned the admiration and respect of her colleagues. Her tireless work ethic, compassion, and generosity inspired those around her, making her a beloved fixture in the workplace. Her selflessness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of her extraordinary personality. Her humor, love, and kindness touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on her community. Though her passing leaves a profound void, DeDe's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to inspire us. Her bright smile, her generous heart, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her three children- Scott Allen (Amanda) Joyner of Dahlgren, Jeffery Lee (Carma Still) Joyner of Christopher, and Gayle Marie Joyner of Du Quoin; grandchildren- Alex Joyner, Alexis Joyner, Joshua Lynch, Dacey Rodriguez, and Juan Rodriguez; great grandchildren- Emma and Mateo; and sister-in-law- Debbie Stroner. Also surviving is Trina Bruhnsen, whom was like a daughter to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother- Junior Stroner, sister- Marilyn Gibbins, and brother- Jerry Stroner.
