Dewayne Schulte Obituary

Dewayne E. Schulte, age 62, of Centralia, passed away at 10:28 AM on Monday, February 3, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born Wednesday, July 25, 1962 in Centralia, a son of Henry and Mickey (Biggs) Schulte.

Dewayne, a loving father, grandfather, and friend, may have struggled with many situations in life, but his love for his family and his zest for life were unparalleled. As a laborer for the city, Dewayne worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. But it was his role as a father and grandfather that brought him the most joy. He adored his family and was always there to lend a listening ear, a helping hand, or a joke to turn a negative situation around. Dewayne's humor was contagious, and he had a gift for making everyone laugh, even on their worst days. He loved baseball and was quite proud of his Cardinals and Nascar collections. His legacy will live on through the countless memories we shared with him, and through the lessons he taught about love, perseverance, and resilience.

Dewayne is survived by three children- Joshua Schulte of Centralia, Jami (Miguel) Montaya of Centralia, and Kelly (Bandar Alnashri) Taylor-Schulte of Centralia; step-daughter- Billi Jo Taylor of Centralia; grandchildren- Brian Bierman, Jr., McKayla Bierman, K'Lynn Taylor-Schulte, Abygayle Taylor-Schulte, Aribella Taylor-Schulte, Gabriel Taylor-Schulte, Aron Villegas-Taylor, Nyeli Garcia-Murcia, Blanca Garcia-Murcia, Delimar Garcia-Murcia, Marcello Garcia-Murcia, Kimberly Subhi-Taylor, Rachael Teague, Loree Teague, Aiden Dalton-Taylor, and Elizabeth Lee-Taylor; one great granddaughter- Naomi Villegas-Taylor; two brothers- Charles Schulte of Centralia and Harry Schulte of Centralia; one sister- Ann Bollhorst of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers- Leo Schulte and Henry Schulte.
