Craig Millard Ulen, age 69, of Centralia, passed away at 8:15pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.
Craig was born Saturday, April 30, 1955 in Springfield, Massachusetts, a son of Hiram M. and Marguerite M. (Farquharson) Ulen.
He is survived by his son- Brian (Jennifer) Ulen; son- Joshua Ulen; daughter- Samantha Ardery; seven grandchildren- Mazie, Kennedy, Tyler, Addy, Olivia, Tessa, and Waylon; great granddaughter- Delilah; two sisters- Carol McCrary and Sandra Ulen; two brothers- Gordon Ulen and Scott (Pam) Ulen; and brother-in-law- Donald Pouliot.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters- Judi Wilson and Sharon Pouliot and his brother-in-law- Jimmy Wilson.
His life was marked by service, hard work, and a commitment to helping others. A proud veteran, Craig served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His dedication to his country continued through his membership in the American Legion Honor Guard. Craig was a talented carpenter with a passion for woodworking, carpentry, and construction. In his free time, Craig enjoyed watching old western movies and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved doing odd jobs for people and took pleasure in knowing he was making a difference in their lives. His service, skills, and spirit will never be forgotten.
Military graveside services will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at a later date, a fitting tribute to his service and sacrifice.
