Connie Jean Galliher, age 62, of Du Quoin, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her home.
She was born Sunday, July 22, 1962 in Du Quoin, a daughter of Harold Lester and June (George) Ralston.
Connie was a loving mother, daughter, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Her family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in the time spent with her grandbabies, who brought her immense happiness. With a heart full of compassion, Connie dedicated her career to caring for others as a home health aide, touching the lives of countless individuals and families. Her selflessness and kindness inspired those around her, and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched. In her quiet moments, Connie found solace in simple pleasures - playing games on her phone, coloring, and exploring the world of technology. These small joys brought her great delight and relaxation. She was also a talented cook... her fried chicken was a staple at family gatherings. Her love for cooking was a reflection of her love for her family, and she took great joy in sharing meals with those she loved.
Connie is survived by her loving family, including her mother- June Ralston of Du Quoin; three children- Autumn (Darrin) Jacoby of Du Quoin, Misty (Brandon) Galliher of Du Quoin, and Brian Galliher of Du Quoin; eleven grandchildren- Kacie Jacoby, Daniel Ellsworth, Bryson Jacoby, Dalton Wohlwend, Wade Wohlwend, Ethan Galliher, Liam Sisney, Noah Sisney, McKenzie Galliher, Brandon Patterson, and Brian Galliher, Jr.; one niece; two nephews; special friend- George Von Rohr of Du Quoin; and her beloved dog and best friend- Behemoth.
She is preceded in death by her father- Lester Ralston, sister- Crystal Horton, grandmother- Lillie Baker, and several aunts and uncles.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who loved her.
A time of visitation for family and friends to gather and celebrate Connie's life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home, located at 11 South Hickory Street in Du Quoin.
Memorial services will follow at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Amanda Groves, of the Du Quoin First Christian Church, officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Connie's funeral care fund at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
