Brad Eric Morgan, born April 23, 1963, to Silas L. and Melva Morgan, passed away on October 9, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Morgan; their cherished daughter, Erica Jo White, and son-in-law Weston White. He was a proud grandfather to Carter Dean White, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother, Melva Morgan; brother Heath Morgan; nephews, Silas and Cole Morgan; mother-in-law, Sylvia Hagene; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Tara Bird; and brother-in-law, David Carson.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Silas Morgan; father-in-law, Chuck Carson; stepfather-in-law, Gene Hagene; sister-in-law, Tracy Morgan; and his loyal companion, Max.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Brad devoted his life to serving others. An officer for the Du Quoin Elks Lodge 884, Brad currently served as the lodge's Esteemed Loyal Knight. He had a passion for cooking and shared that love through his competition barbecue team, Bubba Joe's BBQ, alongside Joe Bird and Gene Hagene.
Brad's kindness, humor, and unwavering support for those around him will be deeply missed.
A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home, located at 11 S. Hickory Street; Du Quoin, Illinois 62832. Funeral services will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville. Graveside services will include military honors rendered by the Du Quoin VFW Post 513, the Du Quoin American Legion Post 647, and the United States Navy military funeral detail teams.
