Billy Dean Baker, Sr., 70, of New Market, Virginia, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away October 4, 2025 at his home in Virginia.
He was born March 11, 1955 in Duquoin, a son of the late Mary Lucy (Macaluso) and James Carlyle Baker, Sr.
Billy retired from Howell Metal as a crane operator. On November 20, 1974 he married the former Joyce Marie Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter; Teresa Brock (Brian), of New Market, a son; Billy Dean Baker, Jr., of Elkton, three granddaughters; Samantha Caperton and Samanda Caperton (Matthew) both of New Market, Sierra Baker, of Staunton, four grandsons; Taylor Brock (Jazz Franks) of New Market, Tyler Brock (Alyssa Phillips), of Timberville, Ryan Brock, of New Market, Levi Baker, of Staunton, great grandchildren; Mason, River, Rain, baby Lucas due in November, four brothers; Carly, Richard, Louie, Donnie, all of Duquoin, IL and a sister; June Roznowski, of Elkville, IL.
He was preceded in death by a brother; Jack Wayne Baker.
Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering and luncheon to honor Billy's life from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Derby Community Hall, located at 214 West High Street in Du Quoin.
